WEEK OF JUNE 7, 2020

Dear Village Bible Church family and guests,

  1. CHANGES FOR THIS SUNDAY (June 7)…
We’ll have live worship at 10:15 am Sunday and here’s your options:

Worship in the Sanctuary OR Fellowship Hall is now face mask optional. (based on last Sunday numbers, we’re changing the Fellowship Hall from masks only to masks optional) Sanctuary seating is “first come, first served.” ALL mask optional worshipers should enter through the South Doors. Note: the metal chairs in the Fellowship Hall have been replaced with the more comfy blue upholstered chairs and a there is a very large screen for video/audio.

Masks-only worship is now in the Oasis Center. Enter only through the Oasis Center entrance. The room It is nicely set up with the blue upholstered chairs, and great video/audio from a 70″ screen and softer lighting.

And, of course, you can still watch the service on your phone, tablet or computer using the live stream on our Facebook page or Vimeo.com/user42482704. Watch from home or where ever you have WI-Fi (including the south church parking lot!)
You can be in the south church parking lot during the 10:15 am worship and join the audio on 90.3 FM.

    1. Arrival on Sunday: To avoid a bottleneck of people checking in at the available entrances just before 10:15 a.m., please plan to arrive between 9:45 a.m. and 10:10 a.m. If there is a line of people getting checked-in, you may wait in your car until the line goes down.
  2. Those who are not feeling well, who have even a slight fever, who have serious lung or heart issues or have been exposed in the past 14 days to anyone confirmed to have Covid-19 should not attend.
  3. We will not be offering nursery or Children’s Church yet, but families can sit together, and the Cry Room is sanitized and available.
  4.  You may certainly bring your own Bible and note-taking supplies. We will not have Bibles or hymnals under the chairs. Song words, scriptures and other helpful information will be on the video screens.
  5. The church mailboxes will not be accessible. If you want yours checked for cards, etc., a volunteer posted at that hallway will be able to assist you. We have not put anything new in the mailboxes since early March.

Philippians 2:1-11

1So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

For His Kingdom and His glory!

The Reopening Task Force

COME JOIN IN – AND INVITE OTHERS!

Our Oasis Food Pantry ministry has developed a modified plan to serve those with food needs Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 (noon). They will serve through a “drive -thru” by the entrance normally used for that ministry.

Our Elders, Small Groups and Pastors and other church family will provide as much congregational care as we can. It is important that we reach out to those most vulnerable or fearful in this unprecedented challenge.

These extended weeks will, we pray, substantially reduce the depth and duration of this international health emergency. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. May God use His church, His people during this time to strengthen faith and bring others to embrace it.

Our mission is to develop
fully-devoted disciples of
Jesus Christ.

We are disciples of Jesus, saved by faith, united in service to His Kingdom!  We would love to have you come learn more about Jesus with us!

Our fall/winter/spring schedule!

(SEE THE NOTE ABOVE ABOUT OUR TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF REGULAR MINISTRY ACTIVITIES THROUGH APRIL)

Let’s gather for Bible discovery at 9:00 am. We offer classes/groups for children, youth, teens and adults. There’s Nursery available for infants and toddlers.

The Worship service starts at 10:15 am. We sing songs of praise and faith that spans the ages of great music, past and present. The message is always grounded in the timeless truth of God’s Word; encouraging, equipping, and calling for a response of faith, trust and obedience. Nursery is available for infants and toddlers and Children’s Church is available for those age 4-9.

Call or email for more information. I would love to meet and talk with you!
